Core Beliefs

God
We believe in one eternal God. He is the Creator of all things, and by Him everything exists.

God has revealed Himself to us as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes but without division of essence or being.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6; 1 Timothy 2:5

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is referred to as the Son of God. He is the Word of God made flesh—God manifested in a body.

He is the image of the invisible God, our finite representation of the infinite God.

Jesus is the name above every name, and there is salvation in no other.

John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:3; John 14:9–11; Acts 4:12

The Gospel

The Gospel means “good news.” The bad news is that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.

The good news is that God loved us so much He sent His only Son as the sacrifice for our sins.

Jesus died, was buried, and rose again to free us from sin and make us right with God through faith.

1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Romans 3:23; Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 1:18; Mark 1:14–15

Salvation

Salvation is a process. It is, first and foremost, a gift given to us by God’s grace through faith.

The grace of God freely brings salvation to us through the blood of Jesus Christ, to be received by faith.

When we repent of our sins and place our faith in Jesus—trusting in Him and the finished work of His death on the cross—our faith responds by believing in our heart and confessing with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead.

At that moment of faith and confession, a spiritual conception takes place in the heart, and a person is made alive in Christ.

Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 3:5; 1 John 1:7; Romans 5:9; Romans 3:22–25; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; Colossians 1:13–14; Romans 8:1–2

Born Again –

Water Baptism

Once someone has repented of their sins and put their faith in Jesus, the biblical response is calling on His name in baptism.

Once we are made right with God through faith, baptism is our faith response and seal of righteousness.

Through baptism we identify with death to sin and the burial of our old life, being raised with Christ into new life.

Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:15; Acts 22:16; John 3:5; 1 Peter 3:21; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:5; Romans 6:3–4; Acts 8:12, 36–38

Born Again –
Holy Spirit Baptism

We are buried with Christ through water baptism and raised with Him in newness of life.

The pattern in Scripture shows that when someone received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, they spoke in tongues as the external evidence.

The abiding evidence of the Spirit is the fruit of the Spirit, demonstrating that the believer is connected to a living relationship with Jesus.

John 3:5; Titus 3:5; Romans 6:3–4; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4–5, 8; Acts 2:38–39; Acts 8:14–19; Acts 10:44–46; Acts 19:5–6; Acts 8:12–17; Romans 8:23, 26

The Greatest Commandment

Love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.

As we receive God’s love, we are empowered to love others.

Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37–38; Mark 12:29–30; Luke 10:27

The Great Commission

All believers are called to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

A believer who has truly been saved and transformed will make it their lifestyle to proclaim the good news of salvation to others.

Mark 16:15–18; Luke 24:46–49; John 20:21–22; Acts 1:8; Matthew 10:8

Full Statement of Faith

  1. The Nature of God

God is eternal—without beginning or end. He is the Creator of all things, and by Him everything exists.

God has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each with distinct personal attributes, yet without division of essence or being.

God is love, and love is His very nature.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6; John 1:1–3; Colossians 1:16–17; 1 John 4:8; Matthew 28:19; 1 Timothy 1:17

2. Creation and the Purpose of Humanity

Love compelled God to create humanity in His image and likeness—pure, holy, and eternal—so that we could enjoy a loving relationship with Him.

He gave humanity free will, the ability to choose love and obedience.

True love is demonstrated through action, but mankind chose disobedience by listening to the voice of the enemy.

Genesis 1:26–27; Genesis 2:7, 16–17; Genesis 3:1–6; Deuteronomy 30:19–20; Romans 5:12; Ecclesiastes 7:29

3. The Problem of Sin

Through disobedience (sin), humanity became separated from God.

Sin is “missing the mark,” and the wages of sin is death.

Because God is just, sin required a penalty—but because He is merciful, He allowed animals to die as substitutes for mankind.

Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Isaiah 59:2; Leviticus 17:11; Hebrews 9:22

4. The Law and Human Inability

God gave us the Law—His written instructions—to reveal His standard and show the path back to right standing with Him.

However, the Law exposed our guilt rather than removed it, because no one could perfectly obey it.

Righteousness could not come through human effort or the flesh.

Romans 3:19–20; Galatians 3:10–11, 24; Romans 8:3–4; Hebrews 10:1–4

5. The Plan of Redemption

Seeing our helplessness to be right with God on our own, God took action.

He came Himself—God in a body, Jesus Christ (the Son of God)—to pay the price for sin and reverse the curse of death.

Jesus became the Lamb of God, offering Himself once and for all, taking away the sins of the world.

Through His death, burial, and resurrection, salvation became available to all who believe.

John 1:14, 29; 1 Timothy 3:16; Philippians 2:6–8; Romans 5:6–8; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 10:10–12

6. Salvation by Faith and Grace

Right standing with God is no longer through the Law or our good works, but through faith from start to finish.

We are made innocent and righteous before God through faith in Jesus Christ—this is the Good News of the Gospel.

We did not earn this gift; it is received by grace through faith.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9–10; Romans 3:21–26; Ephesians 2:8–9; Galatians 2:16; Titus 3:5

7. The New Birth: Water and Spirit

Salvation begins when the Word of God enters the heart and faith is conceived.

The believer becomes justified and forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ.

This faith is sealed and demonstrated through water baptism, symbolizing the burial of the old life and resurrection into new life in Christ.

Just as natural birth is preceded by the breaking of water, spiritual birth comes through water and Spirit.

The sign of new life is breath—God’s Spirit filling the believer.

This breath becomes visible and audible when rivers of living water flow from within, as believers speak in new tongues.

At this moment, God’s Spirit unites with our spirit, confirming that we are now His children.

John 3:3–5; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3–4; Acts 10:44–46; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 3:21; Romans 8:15–16

8. New Life and Growth

Being born again marks the beginning of a new life, not the end.

The believer becomes part of the family of God—the Church, the Body of Christ.

We are called to live holy lives, set apart unto God, and to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength—and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

As we grow in the knowledge of Jesus through prayer, the Word of God, and fellowship with the Church, His love transforms us to become more like Him.

2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:19–22; Romans 12:1–2; Colossians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:15–16; John 13:34–35

9. The Mission of the Church

The Church is called to make disciples, helping others experience this same process of new birth and transformation.

God gives every believer spiritual callings and giftings so the Body of Christ can be equipped, unified, and mature in love and in the knowledge of the Son of God.

Matthew 28:19–20; Mark 16:15–18; Ephesians 4:11–13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7

10. The Blessed Hope

We, the Bride of Christ, eagerly await the return of our Bridegroom, Jesus.

He is coming again for His people, and we will reign with Him in eternity.

John 14:1–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Titus 2:13; Revelation 21:1–4
